Angshuman Roy is IBM-certified Senior IT Architect with SWG Competitive Project Office (CPO) Power Systems team. He has over 24 years of IT industry experience, of which, 14 years have been as Application Architect. He is currently focused on providing competitive research against top tier competitors of IBM Power Systems. Prior to joining SWG, he worked in IBM Global Services, serving as Lead Architect in many mission critical applications.
Angshuman played a lead technical role in designing solutions on various platforms, from workstations to mainframes. Angshuman has expertise in data modeling, infrastructure capacity planning, performance measurement, hardware & software evaluation and in application migration. His industry domain includes brokerage, insurance, retail, manufacturing and Government.

John J Thomas

John J. Thomas is an STSM and Consulting Engineer in IBM’s Competitive Project Office (CPO). He leads technical research on workload optimized systems and the Smarter Computing initiative. In this role, he covers a broad set of technologies ranging from System z, POWER, Pure Systems and Storage to competitor systems. He is a member of the prestigious IBM Academy of Technology. He has received multiple IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Awards and holds patents in diverse areas. His previous role in IBM involved design and architecture of IBM’s eCommerce product suite.
John’s hands-on research within the CPO teams makes him uniquely qualified to present to audiences worldwide.
Before coming to IBM, he worked in solution development for insurance and other industry sectors. Mr. Thomas holds a Masters degree in Computer Engineering from Rutgers University and a B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Henry Daboub is an IBM Certified Consulting IT Specialist for the IBM Competitive Project Office Storage Research Team. He is responsible for researching and analyzing IBM and competitive software as it uses and manages IBM System Storage and competitive storage.
Henry joined IBM in 1998, working in AIX support. In 2000, Henry moved to the Tivoli Global Response Team and provided critical situation support to IBM Tivoli Software customers all over the world. In 2003, Henry went to work for the technical sales team, helping IBM customers and business partners take advantage of Tivoli Storage and Systems Storage products.
Henry has deep experience with many IBM products including IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Tivoli Storage Productivity Center, SAN Volume Controller, Storwize V7000, and the IBM Information Archive. Henry’s hands-on research within the CPO team makes him uniquely qualified to present on these IBM solutions to audiences worldwide. He has a Bachelors of Art in Computer Science from University of Texas at Austin. As an aside, Henry started writing assembly language at the age of 12 and earned a paycheck for programming by age 15. He is a Champion on Folding@Home and World Community Grid projects.
