IBM’s 2nd Annual Smarter Government Summit 2013 - Strategies to Drive Innovation and Improve Government Performance

Under a persistent mandate of “doing more with less”, Government departments and agencies are being challenged to become “smarter”: to better optimize assets and resources -- while still ensuring more effective service delivery and better program outcomes for the Canadian taxpayer.

A commitment to government transformation through IT-enabled innovation and collaboration are keys to achieving these goals. To learn more, IBM is hosting its 2nd Annual Smarter Government Summit on Wednesday February 20,2013 for Canadian Federal government departments and agencies.

Conference sessions will focus on how government organizations can drive innovation and improve overall performance by:

• Consolidating and optimizing key government IT infrastructures and applications – including solutions and best practices for data centre consolidation and application portfolio management in a shared service context.
• Managing and leveraging the sheer volume, variety, and velocity of data that is being created across the government ecosystem-- to turn information into insights that can drive better decisions and improve program outcomes.
• Driving more productivity and better citizen engagement through improved collaboration and a modernized workplace that takes advantage of mobile and cloud computing technologies.
